Notice of Public Hearing on Mission Economic Development Corp.

Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on behalf of the Mission Economic Development Corporation on March 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., at 501 16th Street, Suite 305, Canyon, Texas, with respect to a plan of finance including one or more series of bonds (the “Bonds”) proposed to be issued in an aggregate maximum stated principal amount of $480,900,000 by the Mission Economic Development Corporation (the “Issuer”). The proceeds of the Bonds will be loaned to Republic Services, Inc. and/or one or more subsidiaries or affiliates thereof (collectively, the “Borrower”), for the purpose of financing and/or refinancing certain infrastructure and capital improvements and equipment acquisitions related to their solid waste disposal facilities located throughout the State of Texas, including, for purposes of this hearing, the facilities located at 20700 Helium Road, Canyon, Randall County, Texas 79015, in the aggregate maximum stated principal amount at such location of $1,900,000 (the “Project”). The initial legal owner and/or operator of the Project will be the Borrower.

The aforementioned public hearing will be conducted by Lee McCormick or his designee. All interested persons are invited to attend such public hearing and express their views with respect to the Project and the Bonds. Questions or requests for additional information may be directed to Mr. McCormick (telephone: (214) 256-3121). Any interested persons unable to attend the hearing may submit their views in writing to Mr. McCormick at 6988 Lebanon Rd., Ste. 103, Frisco, Texas 75034 prior to the date scheduled for the hearing. Persons who intend to appear at the hearing and express their views are invited to contact Mr. McCormick at the address or telephone number set forth above.

This notice is published and the above-described hearing is to be held in satisfaction of the requirements of Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 regarding the public approval prerequisite to the exemption from federal income taxation of the interest on the Bonds.
